64 days later

Last Thursday was the final day of preschool for Myka this year. We were both very sad as she LOVED her teacher and class that met two days a week at "Daddy's church." I was sad as I had become very productive in my two and a half hours of free time twice a week - (Eli's morning nap lined up perfectly with Myka's preschool day!)
As I was copying the preschool calendar into my planner last August I realized she would have 64 days of school this year. I remember wondering if that meant 64 days of trying to convince her it would be fun, 64 days of a couple tears of uncertainty as we dropped her off, 64 days of a grumpy girl when I would go pick her up. It turned out that most of those 64 days were filled with fun friends and learning experiences she will remember well into the summer, and memories saved forever in the pages of the wonderful scrapbook her teacher made for her.

We are already counting down the days until we start again next fall.
