1. Eli is potty trained. Sort of. Mostly.
Either way, we have already celebrated at Chuck E Cheese which makes any big event in our house a done deal. He is doing great and wearing underwear all the time unless I'm leaving him in someone else's care. His personality just doesn't lend itself very well to, "now you just tell Ms. Soandso if you have to go potty."
And this is what he did most of the time he was there...
2. Myka has graduated from preschool. Again.
But this time it is official and we have already registered for kindergarten and had the "round up". I was really pleased with her Finally Five Preschool class this year, as 12 of the kids in her class were 5 years old by the end of September, and the rest were 5 before Christmas. The teachers were able to work a little more on Kindergarten things with them and I could see her progress throughout the year. She started reading simple books shortly after Christmas and tells me she is most excited for the "pluses and equals" in Kindergarten.
3. We did our first family camping trip two weekends ago. Some church members met at a local campground for the weekend, coming and going as they needed to prepare for Sunday since most of the people who camped were staff of some sort. We had a great time in spite of the rain and cold temperatures and 2 year old who only slept for 6 hours and 2 year old who forgot he wasn't wearing a diaper any more. But overall it was a fun time and we are all excited to try it again. Really.
4.) And as for the tooth... She woke up with it wiggling on Monday and it fell out in the car on Friday. I am quite surprised because it took her so long to get teeth in the first place I thought they would hold on awhile. I guess it's ok, though, because with the rate of inflation this tooth fairy may be broke if the rest of her teeth don't fall out soon.
